Membership

 

The Association aims to:

  • Provide statewide association and professional identity.
  • Promote better communication within the trade.
     
  • Promote recognition of the profession.
  • Protect the interest of its members.
  • Endorse sound business practices.
  • Promote ethical principles and practices. Increase the usefulness of the profession.
  • Protect health and the environment

Voting Members: Classifications

  • Full Membership: Anyone directly involved in the onsite industry including Installers, Soil Testers, Soil Scientists, Designers, Manufacturers &/or Suppliers
    Optional: Government Personnel
  • Additional Membership: Available only to those who are employees of firm with Full Member (no restrictions on number of additional members).

Non-voting Members:

  • Associate Membership: Government personnel whose function is education, inspection or regulatory, anyone with an indirect interest in onsite disposal wishing to support the Association.

All memberships are individual. WOWRA does not have corporate memberships. Dues are payable in advance. Annual dues notices are mailed in August and are payable no later than October 1 each year.

2012 WOWRA Scholarship

Established in 1990 to award students planning to obtain a higher education, WOWRA has awarded over $110,000 in scholarships to nearly 100 students.  Two thousand twelve will be no exception with 2 scholarships available: the Robert Lindner Memorial Scholarship for $2000 and the Gretchen McQuestion Scholarship for $1500.  Additional scholarships may be awarded based on availability.
