POWTS Evaluator Certification Course

WOWRA has developed a two-day training course and certification for septic system professionals-Private Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Evaluator Certification Training-to teach the proper techniques for conducting evaluations of existing private onsite wastewater treatment systems.  The innovative two-day training class concludes with a certification exam, provides much needed uniformity around the state for POWTS evaluations, and helps to ensure that consumers are receiving a high quality evaluation of their systems.

The course includes both classroom instruction and field training.  some of the topics covered during the course include: WOWRA Certified Existing POWTS Evaluator Ethics, Policies, and Requirements; Evaluation Procedures from Data Collection Through Final Reports; and Procedures for Evaluating Recent Documented POWTS and Unknown POWTS. General POWTS knowledge and experience is necessary. Upon completion, participants will receive certification as a WOWRA Certified POWTS Evaluator in Wisconsin.
